The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is crafted for individuals ready to lead and inspire in early childhood education settings. Students gain practical experience through 280 hours of required work placement, ensuring they’re prepared for real-world responsibilities.

Entry Requirements
International students must meet the following requirements to apply:
- Be at least 18 years old and have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent. (This requirement is specific to Swanston Institute. For immigration-related English language requirements, please see the table below)
- Participate in a course entry interview to confirm suitability and discuss any support needs.
Additional Requirements for Work Placement:
- Police Check: A current Victoria Police Check is mandatory.
- Vaccination Requirements: Evidence of vaccinations may be needed to participate in practical placements.
Note: Completing these requirements is essential to begin your work placement and ensure compliance with childcare regulations.
