Entry Requirements

International students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent. (This requirement is specific to Swanston Institute. For immigration-related English language requirements, please see the table below)
  • Participate in an entry interview to confirm course suitability and discuss any additional support needs.

Additional Requirements for Work Placement:

  • Police Check: A current national Police Check (VIC or NSW) is required.
  • Vaccination Requirements: Evidence of flu and COVID-19 vaccinations may be required based on workplace and state health guidelines.

Note: Compliance with all work placement requirements, including police checks and vaccinations, must be completed before starting your practical placement. Swanston Institute will assist in securing placements and provide support throughout the process.
