Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have significant experience in specialist technical skills, or managerial business and people management skills.

Individuals in these roles carry out complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, leading a team or a strategic direction of a business. They apply their skills across a wide range of industries and business functions, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).

The skills required for these roles may include, but are not restricted to: telecommunications network engineering: managing logistics, organisational specifications, regulations, and legislative requirements across network projects.

Entry requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 11 or higher
  • Minimum age of 18 years and above
  • IELTS 5.5 or above, PTE 36 or above, TOEFL PF 453 or above, TOEFL IBT 46 or above, CAE Scale 162 or above, ELICOS (General English) 15-30 weeks OR
  • Satisfactory completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 11 or higher OR
  • Evidence that they have studied in English for at least five years in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States OR
  • Evidence that, within two years of their application date, they have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or successfully completed substantial components (50% or more units according to the training package) Certificate II or higher-level qualification, from the Australian Qualifications Framework on a student visa. OR
  • Applicants originating from student’s visa assessment levels 1 and 2 countries without the required IELTS, or equivalent score must undertake the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test. OR
  • Applicants who do not meet the required English eligibility must undertake the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test to satisfy the course eligibility entry requirements.  However, the English requirement for visa assessment may differ.  For further information on student

Course Duration
