Overview
The SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management is designed for students aspiring to build or further a career in the dynamic hospitality sector. This qualification prepares students with essential hospitality and management skills to succeed in various hospitality roles. Students will engage in hands-on training using industry-standard facilities, equipment, and resources to gain practical experience in real-life work scenarios.
Facilities, Equipment, and Resources:
- Fully equipped commercial kitchen for practical training.
- Training rooms with computers, Microsoft Office access, internet, and online learning resources.
- Onsite library with a range of study materials.
- Kitchen toolkit provided, including chef's uniform, safety shoes, and essential culinary tools.

Entry Requirements
International students must meet the following criteria to enroll:
- Age Requirement: 18 years or above.
- Academic Requirements: Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
- English Proficiency: Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent. (This requirement is specific to Swanston Institute. For immigration-related English language requirements, please see the table below)
- Additional Requirements: Basic computer skills and access to a laptop or computer for assignments and self-study.
Note: Applicants may need to undergo a pre-training review and Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to determine additional support needs.
