Overview
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care equips you with the skills to support children’s growth, development, and wellbeing in various educational settings. This course prepares you for meaningful roles in childcare centers, preschools, kindergartens, and family day care, where you’ll make a positive impact on young lives. As part of the program, you will complete 160 hours of practical placement in a regulated childcare environment, ensuring hands-on experience.

Entry Requirements
International students must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old and have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent. (This requirement is specific to Swanston Institute. For immigration-related English language requirements, please see the table below)
- Participate in an entry interview to confirm course suitability and discuss any additional support needs.
Additional Requirements for Work Placement:
- Police Check: A current national Police Check (VIC or NSW) is required.
- Vaccination Requirements: Evidence of required vaccinations may be necessary for placement settings.
Note: Completing these requirements is essential before beginning the practical placement. Swanston Institute assists with placements and ensures students are prepared for this experience.
